SF/LA based

Orly had an inspiration to succeed in fitness from a young age. Her father was a lightweight boxing champion, who taught her the basics of sparring with power and speed. She began her fitness training as a jazz dancer for most of her young life and was a part of an established professional dancing group in her hometown. At the age of 18 she joint the Israeli air force and served full term. Orly’s passion came when she was introduced to the Japanese martial art of Shotokan Karate, which she trained in for many years.  From Shotokan training she moved to Shito-ryu, and mixed martial arts, while working as a certified personal trainer. After moving to the bay area in 2009, Orly joined the Sports Club LA/SF and became a regular Jungshin student. With her strong martial art background, Orly was able to step into the role of instructor quickly and is considered one of Jungshin’s top instructors, on her way to Master Instructor.

Currently she is a working artist, she designs high fashion Jewelry, and paints modern abstract paintings. Her artwork can be viewed at different venues around the San Francisco Bay Area and at her website: www.orlyruaimi.com
